Divali festival of lights. I personally hired Betsey Johnson herself to make me a custom designed outfit for it. And it was spectacular. A super short strapless highlighter yellow cocktail dress with lots of ruffles, hot pink nylon leggings, 5 inch pumps (blush with sequins), and a string of hot pink pearls to tie it all together. All together: Very Betsey. Did I mention the Smokey eyes eyeshadow? Vair vair chic. I wanted to look great for the Festival of lights. I popped into my bubble tent and took a quick picture before I hoped into my Indian clothing.
The costumes were amazing. Jangles of bangles and jingley things draped off of the dancers as they paraded around the streets. Bright reds and vibrant oranges rang out across the way. And the candles were amazing. Shrines of beloved ones were cascaded with candles. They even had a candle juggler! This was definitively the best place ever!
Sounds like the festival was amazing.
